Recently installed Airblast Twin Chamber shotblast room. Installed November 2005.
Room 1 : 6m x 3.5m x 4m high
Room 2 : 6m x 3m x 4m high

Can accommodate lengths up to 12 metres x 2.5m x 4m by opening central doors.
Used for the preparation of mild steel and cast iron components for the removal of rust, mill scale and aged coatings
Working to Swedish standard SA2.5 for surface cleanliness with an average blast profile of 50 – 70 microns and a surface roughness of segment 2 –3 on ISO Comparator Plate. HG 50 chilled iron grit used.

Monthly audits carried out by Erwin Amasteel our shotblast media supplier who provide a detailed computer printout of the condition of the working mix, separators and cleanliness of finished product.

Quarterly monitoring as part of the Akzo Nobel Zinc Rich Powder Primer Approved Applicator status.

Shotblast Container.

Containerised Shotblast Room for the preparation of non ferrous metals.
Working size : 6m x 2m x 2m.

Contains a Calcium Silicate blasting media which is silica free and is used for sweep blasting galvanised surfaces to remove dross and flux and provide a key for paint and powder coatings. Can also be used to prepare certain cast alloy substrates prior to filling and painting.
